At Wentworth Primary, students will be actively encouraged to think of others. Emphasis will be placed on respect, compassion, consideration, honesty and truthfulness as values that are important and relevant to the lives of young people today.

The values programme is integrated throughout the school day and is included in homework activities so that children can involve their families as they develop their understanding and commitment to the following:

Welcoming		to all people at all times
Excellence		striving to do your best and actively acknowledging the success of others
Neatness		of appearance, uniform, work and the school
Teamwork		participating fully in school activities and actively encouraging others
Work Ethic		demonstrating self-discipline and diligence
Organisation		management of time and resources
Respect		for self, others, property and the environment
Tolerance		of differing opinions, backgrounds, beliefs and abilities
Honesty		true to yourself and the values of Wentworth Primary School

Students receive recognition and praise for demonstrating these values. As students progress through their school years, the aim of Wentworth Primary is to ensure that these values underpin both curriculum and co-curricular activities, helping young people to develop an ethical consciousness.
