Our annual Character Day is always good fun and a great success.
During Term 3 the students and some brave staff dress up as a favourite character from literature, films or computer games. No uniforms are seen on this day and the money raised is sent to a worthy charity.
The event was combined with our chosen national charity for Term 3, being ‘Loud Shirt Day’- an annual appeal of The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Programme.
Students and teachers were all involved on the day, and the playground was awash with all kinds of characters. From Nemo to Hogwarts, and Japan to Sherwood Forest – some of the costumes were truly amazing, and some of the shirts were really LOUD!
We were proud to raise a good sum of $240 for our chosen charity, knowing that all proceeds would be going towards helping deaf children with cochlear implants or hearing aids, to listen and speak like their hearing peers.
